Productive day spawned from 245 AM bed tinkling...

So after a short night, and being woken up at 245 AM by someone little and black piddling on my bed, I have had a really productive day! I got my bedding washed, the dishes done, a fire going and the lil dude's taken care of for the morning.

White Chicken Chili after I had a bowl. Super Yummy!
I decided to try out the "white chicken chili" recipe I snagged from my friend Megan over at Wanna Be A Country Cleaver. It's really simple and quick. I added some black pepper and minced garlic; chunked my potatoes instead of shredding them and the creamed corn is a must! It was auh-mazing! True to Megan's claims of a belly-warmer on a cold day, this is a great meal. It's more soup like than anything. I am taking my left-overs and freezing them to take for lunch at work.

This evening I plan to make banana bread with some chocolate chips thrown in for good measure. Megan has a great recipe but I think I'll stick with my recipe and just throw some chips in. :)

I finished hand sewing the binding on my lap blanket. I can finally use it, and I did last night while the puppies played from 250 AM to around 315A AM. I sure hope we don't make that a habit. I'm trying to implement a strict schedule with these two. That's what I did with Ruby and she did very well with it.

Also, I'm thinking of getting started on either hand-quilting some baby blanket panels I have or beginning my carpenters star quilt. Hmmm...now I know why the people back in the day were so productive (aside from the living requirement of it). They were freakin' bored! I'm stuck in the house and it's too cold to be outside so I'm crafting as much as possible. LOL

Well, I had better try to catch a nap while all the pooples are napping. Have a good day! :)
