It's official - I'm a foster mom!

So I took to the plunge...I've become a foster mom. I now have two little boys running around my house wreaking havoc in all corners. The dogs got used to them - once they'd been here for a while. They grabbed a bite to eat and quick drink and got down to business of playing. Playing with toys; playing with each other and playing with the dogs. What are their names you ask....well technically only one has a name. The other I'm waiting to see how his personality comes out. If that sounds a bit different it's because my foster boys are lab-mix puppies and not humans. I'm only 28 people and single...please with the thoughts about kids already.

Bear and Name TBA are approximately 8 weeks old and came through the PAWS and RezQ Dogs rescue groups. They were a product of pure Lab momma and sneaky neighbor dog daddy. They look very Lab, blocky heads and all, with just a dash of while on their chests.

They played their hearts out! Bear peed outside and Name TBA has gotten the hang of piddle pads already - smart little boys! Ruby is having trouble sharing her toys but she's working on it. I thought Yotee was going to eat them alive but once he was let out of his crate to investigate them he started playing with in minutes and is still wanting to play even though the little boys are taking a nap. Name TBA crawled right up on my chest and cuddled in for a nap, while Bear went behind my head and cuddled into my hoodie.

These pups came at a great time for me - I've been really lonely lately and wanting to go home. Now I have a new focus and a positive outlet for the excess emotions. I'm trying hard to make friends but it's tough being the new kid in town. And since I came out here by myself people assume I'm brave and like to be alone. OOOOHHHH How wrong they are! :)

Anyways back to the new guys...I'm not sure what I got myself into but my house is no where near puppy proof anymore. So I'm running behind these guys and picking up what they get into. It's a blessing they'll go to work with me; partially to retain my sanity and partially as the socialization process. But man am I glad I won't have to come home to the mess they would have made! :)

Here's a video of them playing. Hope it brings a smile to your face. Have a good three-day weekend everyone!
